Q:  When is a good time to take a housing tour?
A:  Staff are available to give a tour during office hours: Monday – Thursday: 8:00 a.m. — 5:00 p.m. and Friday: 8:00 a.m. — 4:00 p.m.. *The Coyote Village office is closed on Fridays during the summer months.You can also call our office at 817-598-8876 to make sure that someone is available.

Q:  Will I get my $250 deposit back?
A:  The $250 deposit is required and is kept on file through the length of the lease. It will not be applied to the amount due for room/board charges. The deposit will be refunded to the student when the housing lease requirement has been fulfilled. Deposits will also be refunded in full if the student cancels the lease, in writing, before the official move-in day. All other deposits will be retained.

Q:  What is a Guarantor and do I have to have one?
A:  A Guarantor is like a co-signer; someone who will be held financially responsible if you default on payment. Every applicant, regardless of age, is required to have a Guarantor. The specifics of the Guarantor and their responsibilities may be found in the Coyote Village Housing Lease.

Q:  What is included within an apartment?
A:  Coyote Village apartments are fully furnished with the following:

  • Living Room: couch, chair, entertainment center, coffee table, and end table.
  • Bedroom: full size bed, desk, chair, dresser, and window.
  • Kitchenette: mini fridge and microwave
  • Bathroom: individual sink areas, full tub/shower, and storage cabinets.

Q:  Is Wi-Fi available?
A:  Wi-Fi is available in the community center and able to be accessed by using your school log in information. Wi-Fi access does not extend to the individual apartments and the student is responsible for bringing an Ethernet cord and router to create Wi-Fi access.

Q:  How are roommates selected?
A:  The application has a spot to list specific roommate requests if you have friends that are also attending Weatherford College. Please be aware that requested roommates must be mutual for placement. Other secondary placement criteria is based on a student's major and/or academic goals.

Q:  When will I find out who my roommates are?
A:  Due to cancellations and last minute adjustments, you will find out who your roommates are when you move in. We do not give out the assignment of building, floor, room, or roommate names until you move in.

Q:  Do I have to have a meal plan to stay at Coyote Village?
A:  Yes, a meal plan is required. There are two meal plan options: 10 meals or 19 meals, and that’s meals per week. Meal plans are not available in the summer.

Q:  How long is my lease?
A:  A Fall-Spring lease, signed in the Fall, is binding for the entire academic year(August to May).For students interested in coming in the Springonly rather than the full year, and IF we have spots available, sign a lease for the entire Spring semester. Summer leases are binding for each session selected, not necessarily the entire summer.

Q:  Can financial aid cover my housing costs?
A:  Financial aid can cover room/board charges, however, it must cover tuition, fees, and bookstore charges first.

Q:  Is family housing available at Coyote Village?
A:  No. Prospective residents that have a family should look at other off-campus locations for housing arrangements.
