Every spring and summer semester (February- July), WC sonography students are enrolled in an OB/GYN course that has a lab component. The college offers free or low-cost ultrasounds during this time for the community.
Summer 2024
From February 28, 2024 to April 24, 2024, OB ultrasound appointments will be available on Wednesday mornings only, between 8:45 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
If there are no listed appointment times on Wednesday mornings, this indicates that we are full that week. You will have to look at the following Wednesdays for an opening. The appointment slots that are available are based on the student’s lab time and instructor availability.
You must meet these requirements in order to schedule an appointment:
- Be under the care of an OB/GYN physician and have had an ultrasound performed for this pregnancy at that facility
- At the time of your appointment, be between 18-38 weeks pregnant. If you will be under 18 weeks at the time of your appointment, your appointment will automatically be cancelled.
All 2D ultrasounds are free to the public. The college also offers a free “Quick Look” 3D/4D ultrasound (we spend 2-3 minutes looking at your baby in 3D/4D), or a $50 3D/4D (we spend approx. 8-10 minutes looking at your baby in 3D/4D). Please, plan to be at the college for approximately one hour as two students and an OB/GYN registered ultrasound tech scan your baby. We cannot give you a diagnosis; this is why we require you to be under the care of an OB/GYN physician. We offer this service to help train our students and are extremely grateful you are helping us advance their education.
